Biography
Ena Boskovic is a multi-disciplinary visual artist currently based in New York, working in ceramics and photography. Her ceramic practice centers on hand-built vessels that embrace imperfection, tactility, and emotional resonance. Each piece is a quiet meditation on form and presence: built slowly, intuitively, and with attention to the raw character of the material. Her ceramics honor process over perfection and celebrate the marks of the maker.
In her lens-based practice, Ena works primarily with analog photography, drawn to its slowness, unpredictability, and physical connection to time and place. Using only available light, she creates images that feel raw and diaristic, blurring the line between the real and the imagined.
Born in the former Yugoslavia, raised in Canada, and having lived in Mexico, Ena’s multicultural background informs her sensitivity to identity, belonging, and place. These ideas appear throughout her work—not through overt symbols, but in the subtle rhythms, repetitions, and gestures that shape her creative language.
In 2021, she founded Ena Ceramics Studio in Tulum, Mexico. She later graduated from the Creative Practices Program at the International Center of Photography in New York (2024), and was recognized as a winner of Fresh Eyes International Talent 2025. Her practice continues to explore the space between inner and outer worlds, grounded in material, light, and lived experience.
